Answers to common questions about PriceSpy UK — prices, alerts, accounts and how we work.
How often are prices updated? We refresh retailer prices multiple times per day. Most shops are updated at least once every 24 hours, with popular categories updated more frequently.
Why do prices sometimes differ from the shop website? Prices can change between our last update and when you visit the retailer. Delivery costs, promotions and stock availability may also vary. Always confirm the final price on the retailer's checkout page.
Which shops do you compare? We list prices from major UK retailers including Argos, Currys, John Lewis, Amazon UK and many specialist shops across all product categories.
How does price history work? We record the lowest available price each day and display it on a chart so you can see trends over 1 month, 3 months or longer. This helps you judge whether now is a good time to buy.
What counts as a deal? A deal is a product whose current lowest price is significantly below its recent average — typically a drop of 10% or more from the 30-day high.
Do I need an account? No — browsing and comparing prices is completely free without signing in. An account lets you save favourites and set price-drop alerts.
How do price alerts work? Set a target price on any product page. When the lowest offer drops to or below your target, we notify you by email.
Is PriceSpy free? Yes. Comparing prices, viewing price history and browsing deals are free for all users.
How many products do you list? Our catalogue includes more than 400,000 products across electronics, computing, home & garden, fashion, beauty, sports, games and more.
Can I suggest a missing product? Yes — email support@pricespy.co.uk with the product name and we will look into adding it.
What data do you store? We store only what is needed for your account, favourites and alerts. See our Privacy policy for full details.
